Prof. Bernadene de Clercq worked on the UNISA Momentum Financial Wellness Index from 2014 to 2018. She is currently Associate Professor at UNISA’s Department of Taxation, a position which she also held from 2002 to 2010. From 2011 to 2014 she was Head of the Personal Finance Research Unit at UNISA. Prior to this she worked for Saambou Holdings and PriceWaterhouseCoopers before opening her own accounting and taxation practice from 1999 to 2006. She has co-authored numerous textbooks and delivered scientific paper articles in accredited publications.Prof. De Clercq is passionate about financial literacy and sits on the National Consumer Financial Education Committee.
